Post 12: Boomer Shooters
November 13th, 2025I've been playing some classic FPS games lately, I've beaten DOOM, DOOM II, Quake, Quake II, Quake III, and Wolfenstein 3D.
Quake is definitely my favorite, it was absolutely fantastic, I would recommend it to anyone reading this.
Post 11: I got a new laptop!
October 23rd, 2025
I got an actual Windows XP laptop, it's a Dell Latitude e6400, Core 2 Duo P8800, Nvidia NVS 160M! I'm very happy with it, here I am running Classic Vanilla WoW.
With me getting an actual XP laptop, I've decided to reset my main desktop so it's no longer XP skinned, here is the last pic of my XP-skinned Windows 11 desktop.

A few days ago at a secondhand store I found an old Dell 1900FP 19" 5:4 monitor for $6, I picked it up and it's now serving as my second monitor, it's fantastic for 4:3 content! Also I set up an Internet Explorer 8 skin for Firefox and it looks very cool.

July 31, 2025
Today I realized for a couple frames at the end of a video of mine from August 24th, 2014 you can see my desktop, making this the last available snapshot of my XP desktop, as I would switch away to Windows 8.1 in February 2015, before then migrating to Windows 10 at some point in late 2015/early 2016.
Post 6: Games On My Webpage
July 29, 2025
As you may have noticed the games tab has 3 games in it, a simple virtual pet game, a simple physics water game, and... an RTS? If you're not very familiar with the Haruhi Suzumiya anime you are probably confused as to what that is. It's an attempt at replicating the game of the same name that they play in the first season of the anime, made by the Computer Club. The image attached to this post is a screenshot from the anime.
Post 5: More accurate XP Start Menu
July 28, 2025
I'm now using RetroShell, a fork of Open Shell. The result after some tweaking is almost identical to actual XP.
Post 4: Old Windows .cpl Files
July 27, 2025
I found where someone had uploaded some online, nice that they still run in modern Windows.
Post 3: Old Steam and XP Volume Control
July 26, 2025
I finally got Steam to skin properly, it's a 2013 skin specifically, I think it looks great. I also found an application to replicate the XP Volume Slider.
Post 2: Some Cool Stuff
